VILLAGE OF GREENWICH – STATE OF OHIO Administration Offices: 45 Main Street. Greenwich, Ohio 44837 (419) 752-2441 May 17, 2016 Called to order at 7:00 PM. Moment of silence Pledge Council met in regular session with following members present: Phillips, King, Wilson, Shoemaker, Bovia, Lloyd, Chief Dorsey, Mayor Wes Sallee, Clerk Betty Inmon, Zoning Inspector Inmon, Solicitor Palmer and Village Administrator Virgil Giles, (Shopper’s Helper) Lloyd move to accept the minutes May 3, 2016 (correction of adding dumpster will be place same as last year on May 23, 2016), Phillips seconded; Vote as follows: King Yes, Wilson Yes, Phillips Yes, Shoemaker Yes, Bovia Yes, Lloyd Yes Shoemaker moved to pay bills in the amount of $173,003.46, Wilson seconded; Vote as follows: King Yes, Wilson Yes, Phillips Yes, Shoemaker Yes, Bovia Yes, Lloyd Yes Visitors: Josh Barnett and Thomas Eden were among the many people who were on hand for explanation of “Truck Parking”. Rumors have let many truck drivers wondering where they will park their trucks. Mayor explained that committee was still working on this and they were trying to be fair to all involved, drivers and residents. A zoning committee will take place in July and they were asking to come and explain their situations to committee. Carol Knapp and her assistant (HCDC) gave a small presentation on the Appreciate Week that took place in town. Pros and Cons of living and working in the village were among questions asked. HCDC will be helping several businesses with problems hiring and helping implement new processes. Clerk: N/A Committee Mtgs. Chip and Seal has been taking place this week. Resolutions will be presented tonight for Utility Truck and ODOT Salt Program. Police Chief’s Report: Media Releases were sent out as seven notices for tall grass. His department has been spending time on Tilton Street due to excessive speed.
