Council met in regular session with following members present: Phillips, King, Wilson,
Shoemaker, Bovia, Lloyd, Chief Dorsey, Mayor Wes Sallee, Clerk Betty Inmon, Zoning
Inspector Inmon, Solicitor Palmer and Engineer Jason Popiel. (Shopper’s Helper)
Lloyd move to accept the minutes June 7, 2016, Shoemaker seconded; Vote as follows:

Administrator: Jason Popiel took Administrator’s place due to vacation. He distributed
reports and discussed where Greenwich is at with Sewer Separation and Street Repair.
Police Chief’s Report: Reported that OptoTraffic has brought in $28,060 in revenue since
1/1/16; Officer Jeffers will replace Officer Johnson as of 6/21/16; would like to lease 2 new
cruisers. Bovia express his gratitude to Police and Fire Department for their effort with the
GIG Street Market held on June 18, 2016. Both Departments handed out miscellaneous
stickers and fire hats to children. It seems someone has turned bunnies loose and they
have decided to eat the vegetation at local homes; the chief will live trap.
Zoning Inspector: Two Zoning permits were issued since last meeting.
Solicitor’s Report: Talked briefly about overnight parking bans. Policy to permit/regulate
parking at residence.
Mayor’s Report: has been getting calls on semi-truck parking; would like to remind people
that the parking areas in front of business is for that business; would like to see more
residents using the flags offered by SC Band; would hope everyone would patronize the
upcoming Fireman’s Festival.
Council Business: Lloyd (Chairman of Cemetery Board) talked briefly about the cemetery
fence and they have decided to repair the fence in place instead of replacing. Wilson has
been given permission to buy new cemetery lot markers; they will be 3 ¼ inch for use with
½ rebar.

CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF UTILITY TRUCK THROUGH THE STATE OF
OHIO COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM.

A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HURON COUNTY AUDITOR CERTIFY TO THE
VILLAGE OF GREENWICH, OHIO THE TOTAL CURRENT TAX VALUATION OF THE
VILLAGE OF GREENWICH, AND THE DOLLAR AMOUNT OF REVENUE THAT
WOULD BE GENERATED BY A RENEWAL OF 1.6 MILLS FOR CURRENT
EXPENSES. PURSUANT OF OHIO REVISED CODE SECTION.
Wilson move to have first reading of resolution 2016-R-13 by title only, Phillips second.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE VILLAGE OF GREENWICH TO
ENTER INTO A GREENWICH POLICE DEPARTMENT DISPATCHING CONTRACT
DATED JUNE 16, 2016. THIS CONTRACT IS FOR THE DISPATCHING SERVICE OF
THE VILLAGE OF GREENWICH POLICE DEPARTMENT COVERING THE PERIOD
JULY 1, 2016 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2017.
