Visitors: Dominque Brock was on hand to report that he felt singled out for having junk car on premises. Clerks Report: N/A Wilson moved to accept the minutes of the September 5, 2017 Council Meeting, Phillips second. Vote as follows: Phillips Yes, King Yes, Wilson Yes, Lloyd Abstain and Shoemaker Yes. Lloyd moved to accept the invoices in amount of $196,917.21, Shoemaker second; Vote as follows: King Yes, Phillips Yes, Wilson Yes, Shoemaker Yes, Lloyd Yes, Committee Mtgs. Records Committee 11/07 @ 6:30 PM Fire Board 10/02 @ 7:00 PM Ambulance Board 10/09 @ 7:00 PM Police 10/03 @ 6:00 PM Administrator’s Report: Reported Townsend Street will be striped before end of year. Police Chief’s Report: Have sent out at least 15 letters due to junk cars and other miscellaneous in yards. Zoning Inspector: Two building permits Solicitor’s Report: Job description for assistant utility clerk, Residents accepted end of year deadline for no cattle on premises. Mayor’s Report: Trick or treat will be 5:30 – 6:30 PM’ Halloween costume party taking place @ 7:00 at high school. Council Discussion: Clerk ask council to change Columbus Day Holiday to Day after Thanksgiving, Vote among employees to see if all agree, before discussion is made.
