VILLAGE OF GREENWICH – STATE OF OHIO Administration Offices: 45 Main Street. Greenwich, Ohio 44837 (419) 752-2441 September 5, 2017 Moment of silence Pledge Roll Call Roll Call: Shoemaker Yes, Lloyd Yes, Wilson Yes, King Yes, Phillips Yes, Bovia Yes Absence: Wilson move to excuse Mike Lloyd, second by Bovia. Vote as follows: Phillips Yes, King Yes, Wilson Yes, Bovia Yes and Shoemaker Yes. Council met in regular session with additional members present: Police Chief Steve Dorsey, Zoning Inspector Cles Inmon, Clerk Betty Inmon. Visitors: Jake Roth was on hand to discuss the letter for neighbors surrounding truckers who bring tractors home. The letter went to his rental property on East Union Street than back to village and then to his home address on Edwards Rd. He was upset of the letter giving him 15 days to respond and by the time he received it the 15 days had expired. Letters only go to surrounding neighbors and Clerk had no idea the address was vacate home. Mayor to make notation on letter that states from date of post mark. Rick and Devon Reese were present to see if he and council could work out his situation with his tractor/trailers at his home. Council will work on this in coming meetings. Clerks Report: N/A Shoemaker moved to accept the minutes of the August 15, 2017 (with changes) Council Meeting, Bovia second. Vote as follows: Phillips Yes, King Yes, Wilson Yes, Bovia Yes and Shoemaker Yes. Wilson moved to accept the invoices in amount of $300,836.25, Phillips second; Vote as follows: King Yes, Phillips Yes, Wilson Yes, Shoemaker Yes, Lloyd Yes, and Bovia Yes (Clerk gave total for entire month of August instead of from last council meeting.) Actual total should be $198,016.47 Committee Mtgs. Records Committee 11/07 @ 6:30 PM Fire Board 10/02 @ 7:00 PM Ambulance Board 09/11 @ 7:00 PM Police Committee 09/19 @ 6:00 PM Administrator’s Report: Went through his bi-weekly report. (Attached) Giles asked council to raise the fee from $25.00 to $30.00 for NSF due to Bank charging extra $5.00 on their side. Consensus PASSED and Legislation will be drawn up to change this Ordinance. Police Chief’s Report: Discussed speeders on S. Kniffin Street, the problems with junk cars and trash is getting better. Cruiser will be complete by end of month.
