VILLAGE OF GREENWICH – STATE OF OHIO Administration Offices: 45 Main Street. Greenwich, Ohio 44837 (419) 752-2441 October 17, 2017 Moment of silence Pledge Roll Call Roll Call: Shoemaker Yes, Lloyd Yes, Wilson Yes, King Yes, Phillips Yes, Bovia Yes Council met in regular session with additional members present: Officer Lemmeyer, Zoning Inspector Cles Inmon, Clerk Betty Inmon. Absence: Visitors: Nadine Thompson from WSOS had presentation for Fair Housing Act. Clerks Report: N/A Lloyd moved to accept the minutes of the October 3, 2017 Council Meeting, Wilson second. Vote as follows: Phillips Yes, King Yes, Wilson Yes, Lloyd Yes and Shoemaker Yes Bovia Yes (After adding October 3,2017 for Trick or Treat) Shoemaker moved to accept the invoices in amount of $146,424.87, Phillips second; Vote as follows: King Yes, Phillips Yes, Wilson Yes, Shoemaker Yes, Lloyd Yes Bovia Yes Committee Mtgs. Records Committee 11/07 @ 6:30 PM Ambulance Board 11/09 @ 5:00 PM Fireboard 11/06 @ 7:00 PM Police 11/07 @ 6:00 PM Administrator’s Report: Touched base on several topics on his report. Police Chief’s Report: Officer Lemmeyer reported the back seat in new cruiser had to be re-ordered, looking at two applicants for part time officers, four overdoses were reported last week. Zoning Inspector: Two Zoning permits Solicitor’s Report: N/A Mayor’s Report: Mayor Sallee would like to reopen the Annexation of the school again. Huron County Sheriff’s Department has had several calls that village officers have had to respond to. Mayor sees the need for responders to be close and able to be there within minutes. Council Discussion: Bovia questioned Nadine Thompson as to if Greenwich can apply to monies to demo buildings in town. The problem is grants too small to actually pay entire cost. Lloyd move to have second reading of Ordinance 2017-10 by title only, Shoemaker second. Shoemaker move to adjourn, Lloyd second. Vote as follows: Phillips Yes, King Yes, Wilson Yes, Lloyd Yes and Shoemaker Yes Bovia Yes Shoemaker move to go into executive session: To discuss the purchase or sale of land, Bovia second.
