Council met in regular session with additional members present: Chief Dorsey, Zoning Inspector
Cles Inmon, Clerk Betty Inmon.
Absence: N/A
Visitors: Ralph Chandler and his wife, Theresa were on hand to discuss the guardrail that his
neighbor has put on property line at their rental property. Mayor thought this was more of a civil
problem; Solicitor stated the only way for the village to get involved is if there is a description of
“fence” within the codified ordinances. They have obtained lawyer to handle further process of this
matter.
Gail Bovia wanted to share “Hometown Christmas” would take place first weekend in December.
Friends of Library will have parade on Saturday (time not given); lighting of Christmas Tree to take
place on Sunday evening. Scheduled Caroling for second weekend of December. Flyers to be
distributed next council meeting. GIG will be working on the Veterans Memorial, hopefully having
complete by Memorial Day Weekend.

Administrator’s Report: Touched base on several topics on his report.
Police Chief’s Report: New Cruiser ready to go; Court will take place next month for violators of
OptoTraffic fines; Chief will be doing presentation of Security at Government Offices for council
members before one of the council meetings.
Zoning Inspector: N/A
Solicitor’s Report: Asked for Executive Session
Mayor’s Report: Thankful that Halloween was made safe by police and Fire department being out
during this time.
Council Discussion: Payroll Checks for Pay period December 9 – 22 will be available to
employees on December 22, 2017 instead of December 28, 2017. Motion by Bovia, second by
Lloyd. Vote as follows: King Yes, Phillips Yes, Wilson Yes, Shoemaker Yes, Lloyd Yes Bovia

ADOPTING A POSITION DESCRIPTION AND ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION.
