The second resolution is for the CDBG grant/loan, this if for repaving of Gifford and S. Pleasant. This is resolution to allow Virgil to put an application in for this grant and the allocation of this grant only happens every two years and he doesn’t want to let the possibility of it passing us by The coronavirus has suspended all of the linemen and sewer training for his employees at this time. Virgil also states this CDBG type of grant is an income based grant as he did for the Pierce St grant he will be going door to door to do a residential income survey. If 51% of the income meets the element eye specs then we will be able to apply for the application. This announcement will be put on the website as well. Chief’s Report: Chief Dorsey states the website is about 4 days behind but will be updated soon. The police department has been busy with domestic violence calls. There is still no news on the traffic camera. Greenwich, Ohio 44837 (419) 752-2441 Zoning Mr. Eddington has cleaned up his residence, four people have complied with citations, 4 E Union is in the process of getting a dumpster to clean up their residence on the 20th of March and Gifford St is still getting tickets and paying the waivers. Zoning Inspector: Cles states that a couple of new buildings are going up on S Kniffin and possibly on New St. Cles received a call today inquiring to see if zoning can be changed from commercial to residential in zoning for the property at 4 Main, Cles explained a meeting would have to take place if they proceed with that in the sale. Solicitor’s Report: Attorney Palmer state that even though this may not apply to Greenwich, the Ohio Attorney General issued a review of the sunshine laws as it pertains to public gatherings and mass gatherings. Mass gatherings is defined of have over a 100 people or more. Modifications are being looked at that if a public official needs to appear they will be able to do so over a television. As of right now with the Ohio Municipal League and the Attorney Generals law it still states that council will still have to appear in person. He will keep us informed if that changes. Mayor’s Report: Mayor Sallee states that it may have not been approved yet but it may be a requirement for all first responders to wear masks to any scene and if that is the situation EMA may have to start helping out. Chief states that he is avoiding going into any house and instructed that no one be able to enter into the Police Department. Chief says that if EMS absolutely needs the help of the Police department is only when the PD will help by entering houses. Chief also states he is getting a policy together for officers to wash their uniforms every day and to bring a change of clothes for when they end their shift.
