Greenwood Council Meeting
Wednesday, February 17, 2022 at 6:00pm
Council Chambers
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Schecklman. Roll call- Hansen, Ashbeck, Jordan, Nelson, all
present. Also present, Attorney Bonnie Wachsmuth, Clerk/ Treasurer Kayla Schar, Police Chief Bernie Bock,
Utility Director Trent Johnson, Street Supervisor Dave Hinker, and representative from MSA Professional
Services.
New Business:
1. Nelson motioned to approve resolution 1-22 Termination of TID 1. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All
ayes, motion carried.
2. Discussion was made on resolution 2-22 WIWARN Mutual Aid and Assistance Program. No motions
made.
3. Ashbeck motioned to approve resolution 3-22 Authorizing the City of Greenwood to Direct Charge
Public Fire Protection, as written. Hansen seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried.
4. Hansen motioned to approve the contract with MSA to complete the CDBG Income Survey and
Application for a lump sum of $13,000. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.
5. Hansen motioned to approve the amendment to ordinance 11-2-1 Discharge of Firearms, Explosives,
and Other Missiles Within City Limits, to read as follows:
Jordan seconded the motion, 3- ayes, Ashbeck- nay. Motion carried.
6. Ashbeck motioned to approve the bills and vouchers as presented. Nelson seconded the motion. All
ayes, motion carried.
7. Nelson motioned to approve the minutes as written. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes, motion
carried.
8. Nelson motioned to approve the Treasurers report. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes, motion
carried.
9. Nelson motioned to adjourn. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.
