Greenwood Council Meeting
Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at 6:00pm
Council Chambers
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hansen. Roll call- Schecklman, Ashbeck, Jordan, and Nelson all present.
Also present Clerk/ Treasurer Kayla Schar and Police Chief Bernie Bock.
New Business:
1. Discussion was made on opening a CD for Sewer funds. More information was requested. Further discussion
was tabled until next meeting.
2. Schecklman motioned to approve the assignment for TIF payment. Nelson seconded the motion. All ayes.
Motion carried.
3. Nelson motioned to approve the TIF Developers agreement amendment for 2019. Ashbeck seconded the
motion. All ayes. Motion carried.
4. Schecklman motioned to approve the payment request from Haas Construction in the amount of $153,876.25
for the River Crossing Transmission line project. Ashbeck seconded the motion. Roll call vote. All ayes.
Motion carried.
5. Nelson motioned to approve the public works projects and expenses for 2023. Schecklman seconded the
motion. 3 ayes, Ashbeck- nay. Motion carried.
a. Mower and plate compactor purchase. Selling previous compactor jumping jack, plate compactor, 3-
point angle blade and 2002 John Deere mower. ($11,000 split between water, sewer, streets)
b. Sidewalks- $10,000
c. Blacktopping Alleys in front of Wolf’s True Value and behind Studio 3- $25,000
d. Crack Filling- up to $20,000
e. Prepping for 24’ x 32’ shed at Cemetery with materials already on hand.
f. storm drain repairs/ replacements.
g. Linda Blvd extension blacktop, curb and gutter, black dirt and seeding.
h. Tree removal at cemetery.
6. Nelson motioned to approve the use of the Law Enforcement Agency Grant funds in the amount of $7,000 to
be used for street cameras and a license plate reader. Schecklman seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion
carried.
7. Ashbeck motioned to invite chief Bock into closed session. Nelson seconded the motion. Roll call vote. All
ayes. Motion carried. Ashbeck motioned to enter into closed session pursuant to S. S. 19.85 (1)(c) Wis. Stats.
Schecklman seconded the motion. Roll call vote. All ayes. Motion carried.
8. Schecklman motioned to adjourn. Nelson seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried.

employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility,
specifically employee evaluation.
• Roll call vote to invite non-committee members into closed session
• Roll call vote to enter into closed session
• Roll call vote to adjourn closed session and reconvene into open session.
8. Discussion and possible action on closed session items.
