Greenwood Council Meeting Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 6:00pm Council Chambers The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hansen. Roll call- Schecklman, Ashbeck, Jordan, and Nelson all present. Also present Clerk/ Treasurer Kayla Schar, Attorney Bonnie Wachsmuth, Utility Director Trent Johnson, Street Supervisor Dave Hinker, and Chief of Police Bernie Bock. New Business: 1. Schecklman motioned to approve up to $40,000 for Library remodel with social service room addition as recommended by the Finance committee. Jordan seconded the motion. Three ayes, Ashbeck opposed, motion carried. 2. Schecklman motioned to approve $15,000 for the purchase of park ADA equipment for George Scherer park. Nelson seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried. 3. Nelson motioned to approve the Library remodel with social service room addition floor plan as presented and recommended by the Facilities committee. Schecklman seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried. 4. Nelson motioned to approve to start the process of annexing parcel 010.0038.000 into the City as recommended by the Planning and Zoning committee. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried. 5. Schecklman motioned to approve the recommendation from the Park and Recreation committee to officially name the park located at 102 N Main Street, Peace Memorial Park. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried. 6. Schecklman motioned to approve the purchase of the ADA park equipment additions from Boland Recreation as recommended by the Park and Recreation committee. Nelson seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried. 7. Nelson motioned to approve the recommendation from the Park and Recreation committee to allow the County Hwy 73 Main Street project to do their curb ramp improvements near the Peace Memorial Park, located at 102 N Main Street, near the Fee Right of Way and Temporary Limited Easement. Schecklman seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried. 8. Bids were opened for parcel 231.0565.000. Only one bid received. Ashbeck motioned to approve the bid for the sale of 2 acres off of parcel 231.0565.000 in the amount of $1,100. Schecklman seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried. 9. Schecklman motioned to approve the bills and vouchers as presented. Ashbeck seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried. 10. Nelson motioned to approve the minutes as written. Schecklman seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried. 11. Schecklman motioned to adjourn. Nelson seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried. Kayla Schar Clerk/ Treasurer
