Greenwood Council Meeting
Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 6:00pm
Council Chambers
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hansen. Roll call- Schecklman, Ashbeck, Jordan, and Nelson all present.
Also present Clerk/ Treasurer Kayla Schar, Attorney Bonnie Wachsmuth, Utility Director Trent Johnson, Street
Supervisor Dave Hinker, and Chief of Police Bernie Bock.
New Business:
1. Ashbeck motioned to approve the CodeRed agreement for 2023. Schecklman seconded the motion. All ayes.
Motion carried.
2. Ashbeck motioned to approve allowing the contractors to bid out crushing and using the City’s concrete and
asphalt pile as base aggregate on Miller St project. Nelson seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried.
3. Ashbeck motioned to approve the personnel committee recommendation to hire Robert Landini and Jeff
Block as Seasonal Public Works employees with a wage of $17/hr. Jordan seconded the motion. 3 ayes,
Schecklman abstained. Motion carried.
4. Nelson motioned to approve the bills and vouchers as presented. Schecklman seconded the motion. All ayes.
Motion carried.
5. Schecklman motioned to approve the minutes with corrections. Nelson seconded the motion. All ayes.
Motion carried.
6. Schecklman motioned to invite Wachsmuth, Schar and Hinker into closed session pursuant to S.S. 19.85
(1)(e)(Sale of Public Property). Roll call vote. All ayes. Motion carried. Schecklman motioned to enter into
closed session S.S. 19.85 (1)(e)(Sale of Public Property). Ashbeck seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all
ayes. Motion carried. Nelson motioned to adjourn closed session and reconvene into open session.
Schecklman seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
7. Ashbeck motioned to list parcel 231.0605.016 as the fill site for the Miller Street project fill. Schecklman
seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried.
8. Ashbeck motioned to start the process of annexing parcel 010.0038.000 into the city. Schecklman seconded
the motion. All ayes. Motion carried.
9. Schecklman motioned to adjourn. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried.
