Greenwood Council Meeting Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 6:00pm Council Chambers The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hansen. Roll call- Schecklman, Ashbeck, Jordan, and Nelson all present. Also present Clerk/ Treasurer Kayla Schar, Attorney Bonnie Wachsmuth, Tim and Jeni Raese. New Business: 1. Schecklman motioned to approve resolution 1-23 adopting the Uniform Dwelling Code fee schedule as provided by the City building inspector. Nelson seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 2. Schecklman motioned to approve opening up the position of seasonal part time help. Applications to be received by 4:00pm January 16, 2023 at City Hall. Jordan seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 3. Schecklman motioned to approve Sylvia Weaver on the Library Board for 2023-2024 term. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 4. Schecklman motioned to invite Wachsmuth, Schar, and Raese’s into closed session. Ashbeck seconded the motion. Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carried. Nelson motioned to enter into closed session pursuant to S.S. 19.85 (1)(e)(Sale of Public Property). Schecklman seconded the motion. Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carried. Nelson motioned to adjourn closed session and reconvene into open session. Schecklman seconded the motion. Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carried. 5. Schecklman motioned to portion off 2 acres of parcel 231.0565.000 and offer it up for closed bids to property owners of 510 and 506 N River Rd. Bids will be accepted until February 10 th at 4:00pm and will be awarded at the February 15th Council meeting at 6:00pm. Closed bids will also be taken for parcels 231.0122.000 and 231.0122.001. Bids will be accepted until March 10th at 4:00pm and will be awarded at the March 15th council meeting at 6:00pm. Lastly closed bids will be accepted to lease 3 acres of land from parcel 231.0541.000 for crop. Bids will be accepted until March 10th at 4:00pm and will be awarded at the March 15th council meeting.
