Greenwood Council Meeting Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 6:00pm Council Chambers The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hansen. Roll call- Nelson, Hinker, Bolf and Ashbeck all present. Also present Clerk/ Treasurer Kayla Schar, Utility Director Trent Johnson, Public Works Director Eddie Herrick, and Attorney Bonnie Wachsmuth. New Business: 1. Ashbeck motioned to approve a Class “B” Beer License for the Softball Association. Bolf seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 2. Discussion regarding the LRIP grant funding. The grant was awarded for 50%. The City needed 90% to be able to do the project as presented. City Staff will work with MSA on possible options available. 3. Nelson motioned to approve the down payment of 30% to Mark Gardner for the Library project, on the condition that the Greenwood Area Library match the 30% payment. Hinker seconded the motion. Roll call vote. All ayes. Motion carried. 4. Bolf motioned to donate the land easement requested by the County Highway Department. Nelson seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 5. Hinker motioned to replace the tires on the 2018 Dodge pickup. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 6. Nelson motioned to approve the asphalt bid for the 1.5” overlayment of W. Division St, W. School St., and S. White St. for the contract price of $41,905.95. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 7. Hinker motioned to approve the fee increase for lot lines to be $50 per hour per person. Bolf seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 8. Nelson motioned to approve the sidewalk repairs for up to the budgeted amount of $10,000. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 9. Bolf motioned to approve the Park and Rec Committee recommendation regarding the purchase of 2 spring riders and a teeter totter that will be placed along with the existing equipment onto new artificial turf. Hinker seconded the motion. All ayes motion carried. 10. Ashbeck motioned to approve the bills and vouchers as presented. Nelson seconded the motion. Roll call vote all ayes. Motion carried. 11. Nelson motioned to approve the minutes as written. Hinker seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 12. Bolf motioned to adjourn. Nelson seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried.
