Citizens’ Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes Meeting of the Citizens’ Recreation Commission was held on April 14, 2026 at Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan. CALLED TO ORDER: 7:03 p.m. PRESENT: ABSENT: Melinda Billingsley Amanda Starkey Gib Heim Amanda York Jason Gaidis Lindsay Frattaroli Dave Andrews Barb Janutol Abby Klotz ALSO PRESENT: Owen Gafa APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA: Motion was made for acceptance of the agenda for April 14, 2026 with the addition of adding committee assignments to new business. Approval of motion: Yes: Billingsley, Heim, Gaidis, Andrews, Janutol, Klotz. No: None Absent: Starkey, York, Frattaroli APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Motion was made for the approval of minutes from March 10, 2026 by Billings and seconded by Janutol. Approval of motion: Yes: Billingsley, Heim, Gaidis, Andrews, Janutol, Klotz. No: None Absent: Starkey, York, Frattaroli COUNCIL REPORT:  Not present. DIRECTOR’S REPORT: 1  Fundraising for a pavilion at Ghesquiere Park.  Pickleball court shelved due to funding.  Pool & Swim lessons sign-up opening soon. TREASURER’S REPORT:  Still on budget. Predictions on track. OLD BUSINESS:  Snow Creation Contest vote held. Gaidis recused himself from vote due to wife being a contestant. o Voting results:  1st Place: “Snowman”  2nd Place: “Frosty Lying Down”  3rd Place: “Mr. Snowman”  Sand addition to Chene‑Trombley Park – Pending.  Basketball hoops went to city council. No action needed.  No further discussion needed on topic of park access. NEW BUSINESS:  Committee Assignments o Spring Fest - Klotz, Billingsley, York o Bike Ride - Klotz, Starkey, Billingsley o Fishing Derby - Heim, Janutol, Andrews o Fall Event - Klotz, Klotz, Starkey, Billingsley o WinterFest - Frattaroli, Gaidis, York ADJOURNMENT: Motion was made to adjourn by Billingsley and seconded by Heim.
