Call to Order by Mayor Westcamp at 6:30 p.m. Staff Present: Marsha Hall - Administrator, Kevin Shannon - Law Director, Ralph Portier - Chief of Police Guests Present: The Guest Book is on file with the Clerk of Council. II. Moment of Silence The Mayor asked everyone to join him in a moment of silence. III. Pledge of Allegiance Chief Portier led the Pledge of Allegiance. IV. Mayor - Lance Westcamp Mayor Westcamp commented on the success of the Veterans Day Ceremony and thanked Warren Motts and Gary McDonald for their contributions. The Mayor asked Council to complete the performance evaluations on Ms. Hall and return them to him by December 1, 2013. B. Administrator - Marsha Hall Administrator Hall reported the bid opening had been held for the new police facility and the municipal building. Central Ohio Building came in with the lowest bid, the same company who did the roofing work on the municipal building and the City is well City of Groveport Page 3 City Council Meeting Minutes November 12, 2013 pleased with their work. New Hope Church has met with Stephen Moore regarding the old Hendron Rd / Main St. sign. They are aware of the requirements and the need for a variance. The matter will be on the December agenda for the Board of Zoning Appeals. Ms. Hall asked if Council could make a decision on the donation of the sign before the Board of Zoning Appeals meeting. Issues regarding the safety of the sign were discussed and it was clarified the original location was the main problem, the new site will not have the same issues. A motion was made by Council Member Hilbert, seconded by Council Member Dildine, to donate the old Hendron Rd / Main St sign to the New Hope Church, contingent on all Building & Zoning requirements being met.
