That the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement with HealthWise at HUMC to perform services for the period effective October 1, 2008 through September 20, 2009. 2. Corzine has issued Executive Order #100 to address the serious issue of childhood lead poisoning; and WHEREAS, the lead poisoning problem in New Jersey is significant and statewide, but falls most heavily on the poor and on minorities in the State’s older urban areas; and WHEREAS, there are exorbitant medical, educational and social costs associated with lead poisoning. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Hackensack, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the Model Lead Safe City Agreement of principles with the New Jersey Department of Public Advocate.
