Ryan Municipal Building PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION Meeting Notice/Agenda December 19, 2025 (Thursday) – 6:00 p.m. Hales Corners Village Hall (5635 S. New Berlin Road) Notice is hereby given that the Public Works Commission will meet at the above date, time, and place. Notice is given that a majority of the Village Board may attend this meeting to gather information about an agenda item over which they have decision-making responsibility. This would constitute a meeting of the Board per State ex rel. Badke v. Greendale Village Board even though the Board will not take formal action at this meeting. Houte, DPW Project Manager Public: None in attendance 2.0 GENERAL BUSINESS o Approval of Minutes – November 21, 2024  Motion to approve the November 21st meeting minutes by Postonik and seconded by Reimer. Motion passed unanimously. o Public Comment  None 3.0 ADMINISTRATION REPORT o DPW Task Updates o DPW Manager Updates  Service Agreement Renewals • Automatic Building Systems (ABS) ▪ 2025 Annual Renewal-Quarterly Service in the amount of $5,208.00.  Explanation of what the service provides and that the service is proprietary. • Kujawa Enterprises, Inc. (KEI) ▪ 2025 Median Mowing in the amount of $17,454.00. This is a 3% increase from 2024.  This is an extension for one year of the three year agreement. • Kone Cranes ▪ 2025 Annual Renewal-Quarterly Service Agreement in the amount of $1,595.00.  The service is for inspection and maintenance of the DPW garage overhead crane. • Johnson Controls-HVAC Village Hall Building ▪ 2025 Annual Renewal in the amount of $6,264.00.  No discussion. • Johnson Controls-HVAC DPW Building ▪ 2025 Annual Renewal in the amount of $4,969.00.  No discussion.  Village Hall Water Heater Replacement (12-16-24).  Explanation of the water heater failing and that the sizing of the heater was evaluated and installed a smaller unit due to building needs.  Village Street Light – Vehicle Damage o Estimate and claim process. • Sent a letter to vehicle owner for reimbursement.  No discussion. • Contacted vehicle owner auto insurance. Filled out claim information for reimbursement.  No discussion.  Floor mat(s), shop towel and rags, and uniform service provider. • Village Board Approved Multi-Year Agreement with Cintas.  No discussion.  MMSD Draft Funding Agreement M10005HC03: PPII • Village Board Approved the Agreement.  No discussion, provide as an update and to remind what the scope entails. 4.0 PROJECTS: 4.1 2024 Road Program – Update  No discussion. 4.2 Lory Ln. It is an effort to eliminate infiltration from the sewer system. Question and answer about possible sump pump connections to the sewer system. Discussion on sump pump connections and their impact to the system. 4.0 PROJECTS: 4.1 2024 Road Program – Update o Explained project status and informed about Contractor Liquidated Damages.  Discussion of Mail box installation and temporary mail box bank for delivery and Punch List. Anticipate Punch List generation in spring.  Discussion of Liquidated Damages and explanation of what Liquidated Damages are for Contract Completion times and Working Days.  Further discussion on how the Liquidated Damages occurred and questioned the Contractors reasons for this to occur.  Questions, comment and discussion of pavement marking. 4.2 Lory Ln.
