A. (Continued from Sep. 14, 2015) VA15-00007: Peninsula Main VA, LLC, 1812 W.
Mercury Blvd., LRSN 13002028, a variance to increase the maximum height of
a freestanding monument-style business identification sign from 12’ to 25’ to
allow a new 90-square-foot, 25-foot-high freestanding monument-style
business identification sign at an existing mixed-use development.
B. (Continued from Nov. 2, 2015) AC15-00002: Ada Greene, 6 Firefly Ln., LRSN
13003917, an appeal of the Chesapeake Bay Review Committee’s denial of a
request to encroach into a portion of the one hundred (100) foot Resource
Protection Area (RPA) buffer of the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Overlay (O-
CBP) District to clear the natural vegetated area and convert it to managed
turf at an existing single-family home.
C. VA15-00017: Jim and Michelle Smith, 6 Gibbs Ct., LRSN 13000606, a variance
to reduce the required rear yard setback from 35’ to 20’ to allow a new 725-
square-foot rear covered porch at an existing single-family home.
D. VA15-00018: New Millennium Construction, Inc., 734 Vaughan Ave., LRSN
1000664, a variance to reduce the required lot width in an R-9 zoning district
from 60’ to 50’ to allow for subdivision of an existing vacant parcel into two
parcels.
E. SX15-00003: Ronald V. Davis, Sr., 322 Alcove Dr., LRSN 12000021, a special
exception to allow a Day Care 2 for 6 to 9 children at an existing single-family
home. This application is to consider removal of a condition attached to
Community Development Department, Planning & Zoning Administration Division

previously-approved case SX14-00002 which requires all employees of the day
care facility to reside on the premises.
