HAMPTON COMMISSION ON THE ARTS MEETING MINUTES November 3, 2016 Attending Present: Jim Dees, Lynda D. Burke, Nancy Eason, Laura Fitzpatrick, Gail Rehmert, Joshua Head Called to Order Chair, Ms. Eason called the meeting to order @ 4:02 pm. Reading/Approval of Minutes The minutes from the September Meeting were approved. Chair Report The Chair opened this meeting by distributing the applications for the Arts in the Schools Grant Funding. Members reviewed the applications and each was assessed for its quality, arts integration and equity. The Commission identified 3 applications from schools which has not received funding in previous years and approved funding those projects to: Hampton High School Asbury Elementary School Jones Magnet Middle School New Business No New Business Next Meeting Our next meeting in December will be the Holiday Social with the Hampton Arts Foundation. Our next schedule meeting is January 5, 2017. Adjourn There being no further business before the Commission, Mr. Dees moved to adjourn, Ms. Burke seconded. The meeting was unanimously adjourned at 5:05 PM.
