HAMPTON COMMISSION ON THE ARTS MEETING MINUTES October 6, 2016 Attending Present: Jim Dees, Lynda D. Burke, Nancy Eason, Linda Curtis Absent: Gail Rehmert, Jackie Merritt, Laura Fitzpatrick, Joshua Head Called to Order Chair, Ms. Eason called the meeting to order @ 4:02 pm. As there was not a quorum no official Commission business was conducted or voted upon. Reading/Approval of Minutes The minutes from the September Meeting will be read for approval at the November meeting. . Chair Report The Chair opened this brief meeting with a reminder to all commission members to bring recommendations for Commission openings to the November meeting. City Council has filled one opening with applicant David Brooks. Commission members will provide recommendations to Council by the next meeting. Richard Parison will communicate with the staff liaison in Council’s office about their process and keeping the Commission in the communication loop. Members present reviewed the School Grant application and agreed on a few changes to the forms. The applications will go out to the Hampton Schools in the next few days and grant applications are due by November 2, 2016 to Nancy Eason. New Business No New Business Next Meeting Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 4:00 pm at The American Theatre. Adjourn There being no further business before the Commission, Mr. Dees moved to adjourn, Ms. Burke seconded. The meeting was unanimously adjourned at 4:51 PM.
