2024. Motion seconded and passed.
Motion made and seconded for all Absentee functions for 2024 to be
delegated to the Registrars office. Motion passed.
A question arose concerning the ability for people with cognitive
difficulties to vote. The matter arose because a voter who was unable to
state their name and address was denied the vote. It was stated that the
Department of Elections was taking up this issue so we will await their
ruling. Also, that the chief should have offered a provisional ballot to
anyone in this position.
Parts of the code were referenced in this matter: 24.2-643, 24.2-649,
and 24.2-123.
We will try to do the “I Voted” Sticker contest for the Presidential
election this year.
Registrar is considering 2-3 temporary employees for the elections this
year.
