Hampton Coliseum Citizens Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes – February 25, 2020 Attending: (A) = absent Bob Boester ( ) Willie Brown (A) Asa Jenrette ( ) Matt Joyner ( ) Ryan Lowrie ( ) Woody Newman ( ) Anne Rutherford ( ) Samantha Snead (A) Andrew Wilson (A) Terri Vander Vennet ( ) Cheran Ivery ( ) Call to Order/Reading and Approval of Minutes: At 12:08 p.m., Chair Boester called the meeting to order. Motion was made by Mr. Newman to approve the Minutes from the January 28, 2020 meeting. Mr. Jenrette seconded and the motion passed. Chair Report/Announcement: Chair Boester shared that Peter O’Donnell, the new Assistant Director Operations & Events would be starting March 9, 2020 and gave an overview of Mr. O’Donnell’s experience and how it would benefit the Coliseum’s future opportunities. Mr. Lowrie will be giving Mr. O’Donnell a tour of the City’s neighborhoods and other sites. Director’s Report: Ms. Vander Vennet gave an overview of February’s events, upcoming events and future event holds. Ms. Vander Vennet announced the Hampton Jazz Festival line-up was confirmed and the event would announced March 2 and would go on sale March 7. The following CIP projects were reviewed:  Chiller Replacement: Installation proceeding well. Completion date extended to March 6, 2020 due to the delay in pump delivery and leak testing the system.  Side Riser Replacement: Schedule for install August – September 2020. Change in the number of seats per section would negatively impact the Jazz Festival so waiting until after to give the committee time to rework the festival seating chart.  Warehouse Upgrade: Bid will be posted for roof and siding replacement once Mr. O’Donnell is on board. Other Business: No other business. New Business: Adjournment: Meeting adjourned at 12:45pm.
