Hampton Coliseum Citizens Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes – February 22, 2022 Attending: Asa Jenrette ( ) Matt Joyner ( ) Dana Hubbard (A) Jay Lang (A) Ryan Lowrie (A) Woody Newman, Chairman ( ) Anne Rutherford ( ) Samantha Snead, Vice-Chairwoman ( ) Andrew Wilson ( ) Bob Boester, Chairman Emeritus ( ) Terri Vander Vennet, Director ( ) Benjamin Naidorf, Legal (A) (A) = absent Visitors: No visitors in attendance. Call to Order and Approval of Minutes: The meeting was called to order at 12:03 PM. A motion was made by Mr. Joyner to approve the November 30, 2021 meeting minutes. The motion was seconded by Ms. Snead and passed unanimously. Director’s Report: Ms. Vander Vennet welcomed back newly re-appointed committee members Ms. Rutherford, Mr. Lowrie, and Mr. Newman and announced City Council had appointed Bob Boester as an Emeritus committee member. Ms. Vander Vennet recommended and requested of the members that Mr. Boester’s new role be referred to that of Chairman Emeritus. Mr. Boester was Chairman at the time his most recent term ended and he had served in this capacity for the majority of his time on the committee. The members unanimously agreed Mr. Boester’s new position to be that of “Chairman Emeritus”. Ms. Vander Vennet discussed Committee/Board procedures being updated by the Clerk of Council’s Office and that attendance would be one such process, carefully monitored to assist in keeping committee’s active. A schedule of 2022 meeting dates was presented to each member present. Ms. Vander Vennet will email the schedule to non-attending members. The committee reviewed events taken place since November and upcoming events through June 2023. The SVOG funds and purpose were discussed and Ms. Vander Vennet gave a status update on the waterproofing mitigation project currently out for bid. Other Business: New Business: After recommendation and discussion, the committee voted Mr. Newman to the position of Committee Chairman and Ms. Snead to the position of Committee Vice-Chairwoman, for 2022.
