Hampton Coliseum Citizens Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes – October 25, 2022 Attending: Woody Newman, Chair Asa Jenrette Jay Lang Ryan Lowrie Andrew Wilson Bob Boester, Emeritus Terri Vander Vennet, Director Absent: Visitors: No visitors in attendance. Samantha Snead, Vice-Chair Matt Joyner Ben Naidorf, Legal Call to Order and Approval of Minutes: The meeting was called to order at 12:10 P.M. A motion was made by Mr. Wilson to approve the September 27, 2022 meeting minutes. The motion was seconded by Mr. Lang and passed unanimously. Chair Report: Chairman Newman to amend the recommendation letter for Ms. Vander Vennet to submit to Council next week. The Capital Improvement Project list will be reviewed at next month’s meeting. Director Report: Ms. Vander Vennet shared the FY22 tentative financial statements. The Coliseum closed out the year with a very sizeable profit. The committee was provided an overview of past and upcoming events along with updates on the status of the scoreboard, ramp waterproofing, and dressing room renovation projects. Drawings for the dressing room renovation will be shared at the next meeting. Ms. Vander Vennet reported the Professional Box Lacrosse League schedule has been completed, with the first home game on January 6, at 7pm. The signed contract needs to be returned from the league in order for ticket sales and game promotions to start. Other Business: New Business: Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 12:57 P.M.
