Hampton Coliseum Citizens Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes – April 24, 2023 4:30 P.M. Attending: Woody Newman, Chair Linda Curtis Asa Jenrette Matt Joyner Joyce Melvin-Jones Ryan Lowrie Andrew Wilson Bob Boester, Emeritus Ben Naidorf, Legal Charlie Gardner, Deputy Director Matt Shufflebarger, F&B Mgr Absent: Visitors: Lynne Hutton Russel Tinsley Samantha Snead, Vice Chair Hope Whitley Terri Vander Vennet, Director Call to Order and Approval of Minutes: The meeting was called to order at 4:00 P.M. A motion was made by Ms. Curtis to approve the March 28, 2023 meeting minutes. The motion was seconded by Mr. Lowrie and passed unanimously. Chair Report: No Report Director Report: No Report Other Business: Informative session held on potential means of increasing revenues through product branding. Russell Tinsley of Oozlefinch Beers & Blending spoke about the background of brewing, Oozlefinch brands and how a collaboration with label branding of existing product could potentially be conducted. Mr. Naidorf discussed with committee members, the City’s procurement guidelines, the public RFP process, and sketched out a plan and timeline to move towards a licensing relationship with a brewery. The committee recommended pursuit of a licensing relationship and staff will work on moving the recommendation forward. New Business: Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 5:38 P.M.
