Peggy Todd, At-Large Rep. Henry Mills, Institutional Rep. Judy Hart, District 10 Guests I. Opening Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 5:00pm. A. Roll Call and Verification of Quorum Quorum verified. B. Chair Welcome 1 II. Matters By the Public A. The Stephensons (118 Ivy Home Rd) expressed concerns to the commission regarding the level and speed of the traffic on their street and the amount of litter that is left behind by motorist. The Chair referred them to Jason Samuels their Neighborhood Commission representative and city staff. III. Recognitions A. Recognition of the Memorial Baptist Church The Chair presented a resolution recognizing to Memorial Baptist Church for their community efforts. B. Recognition of the Riverchase Neighborhood Association (RNO) The Chair presented a representative from the Riverchase community with a certificate recognizing their participation in the Registered Neighborhood Organization program. C. Recognition of the Community Builders Network (RNO) The Chair presented a representative from the Community Builders Network (CBN) organization with a certificate recognizing their participation in the Registered Neighborhood Organization program. IV. Adjournment The meeting adjourned at 5:30pm. The quarterly meeting social began immediately after the business meeting. Next Meeting Date: May 12, 2014 @ 5:00PM. The public is invited to attend meetings and to observe the work and deliberations of the Neighborhood Commission. The public may also address the Neighborhood Commission during the agenda item “Items to be Presented by the Public” by signing up to speak. The sign-up sheet will be available to the public until the agenda item “Items to be Presented by the Public” is reached in the course of the meeting.
