The regular meeting of the Civic Communications Committee of Hampton Neighborhood
Commission was called to order at 5:00 PM on May 11, 2016 at Canty Conference Room by
Barbara Franklin.
I. Approval of Agenda
The agenda was distributed and unanimously approved.
II. Review of Previous Minutes
Did not have quorum last meeting so no minutes to review
III. Consideration of Open Issues
1. Chair Remarks – Barbara Franklin
Continue outreach and collaboration with neighborhood serving organizations
2. Meet and Greet Debrief -
have large district maps and district contact information available for attendees to
be easily
slideshow of Registered Neighborhood-Serving Organizations displayed on a
promethean board, must be completed by Civic Committee member not staff
continue to acknowledge RNSO’s with more background
3. Identify Priority Projects – summer project to review Hampton.gov Neighborhood
Commission pages, to create slideshows, topic ideas,
that would assist organizations, submit input
4. Hampton Registered Neighborhood-Serving Organization - Review
N2U2 Fashion – seeking additional information
Young Men Corporation – requesting information concerning any past, current
events or partnerships that are specific to Hampton – Pending
Prevent Youth Outreach Program – requesting information concerning any past,
current events or partnerships that are specific to Hampton – Pending
Historic Little England Community – Approved
IT Professionals Association – Approved
