CAPI Committee Meeting Results May 31, 2017 – Community Development Conference Room- 5:00 PM Present: Fred Everett – District 5 Neighborhood Commissioner Steve Edwards Chair – Faith Based Commissioner Staff Jasmine Bryson - Neighborhood Development Associate Keisha Whitley - Chief Neighborhood Specialist Absent: Lynn Allsbrook – Public Works Department David Duxbury – District 1 Neighborhood Commissioner “Chuck” McEachin – District 2 Neighborhood Commissioner Peggy Todd – At-Large Realtor Commissioner Guest: Sandra Medina - District 4 Neighborhood Commissioner I. Reviewed the S.E.E.D.S CAP Grant Application 2017: After much discussion regarding the policy around a “significant change” and the full amount requested by the applicant, a vote was taken. The vote went as follows: Fred Everette – Yea Steve Edwards – Yea Sandra Medina (Guest Committee Member) – Yea The Committee informed the grant applicants that the Committee will be working on their policy and explained the next time the applicants applies for the grant the event should be very different. The Community Action Project grant is geared to promote various neighborhood projects. II. Began the discussion on the Grant policy: It was decided that the Committee will table the discussion until next month after we have all had a chance to review the policy in its entirety.
