Hampton Senior Citizen Advisory Committee June 3, 2019 Hampton Senior Center Members Present: Yvonne Gaynor, Cynthia Harris, Martha Clark, Doris Farmer, Ingrid Kirschmann, Christine Evans, Linda Kindred, Martha Johnson, George Gwynn, Jr. Agency Representatives: Sean Clark, Gloria Jones Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services; Barbara Stewart Department of Social Services; Bill Massey, Maria Santarsiero Peninsula Agency on Aging; Gina Lewis, Foster Grandparents Sean Clark called the meeting to order at 10:05 a.m., called the roll and read the minutes from the May 6th SCAC meeting. A motion was made to accept the minutes by Linda Kindred as read and the motion was 2nd by Ingrid Kirschmann. Minutes were accepted by those present. Old Business: Subcommittee reports: Linda Kindred presented for the Town Hall subcommittee. The Town Hall meeting which took place on June 21st was very informative and viewed as a success. The Mayor was attentive and provided answers to each question from the committee and audience. The committee will review processes on making the next Town Hall more successful. Cynthia Harris presented for the Awards Committee. The committee is still in the process of assembling members. There will be an Awards committee meeting on June 1st to initiate plans. The nomination packet has been updated, completed and will be posted on line in July. Mrs. Waldo presented for the Resident Association subcommittee. They will be looking to set up a meeting with the Woodlands this month. Gloria Jones will be assisting with establishing the connection with the residential mangers. Agency Reports: Maria Santarsiero provided the agency report for Peninsula Agency on Aging. The Forum on Aging had about 200 attendants at the 45th Anniversary Senior Ball Gala benefiting Peninsula Agency on Aging. The meeting adjourned at 11:36 am and the next meeting is Monday July 1st, 10:00am at the Senior Center. Respectfully submitted, Sean Clark
