No official action was taken at this meeting because the PSA did not have a quorum present. As a result, no votes or official business transpired. All September 12, 2022, agenda items that required a vote will be deferred to the October 3, 2022, meeting. The following is a summary of discussion topics.  Legal Update o Lola addressed the PSA by announcing that she has accepted a new position and she will be leaving the City on September 15th. She introduced Angela King, Hampton Assistant City Attorney as our new Attorney. The PSA wishes to officially thank Lola Perkins for her service with the PSA.  Member Vacancy Update o City Council will meet on open positions later in September or October.  Public Works Updates – McCord Newsome o Drainage & 5 Year/Master Plan o McCord Newsome provided the P.S.A. with two copies of the War Memorial Stadium Capital Improvements Plan update. o McCord Newsome provided an update on the drainage project and indicated it will begin in the fall of this year. He also stated the city has hired a contractor to prepare the locker room renovation and new locker room / public restroom building drawings and specifications. o PSA can provide comments on the current drawings before the October meeting. 2 9/20/2022  Fire System o PSA is waiting for a proposal from Johnson Controls and may also ask for proposals from other companies.  Parking Lot Signage o Parking lot signs have been purchased and given to public works to be installed.  Fan Installation o There was a brief discussion on the stadium fans. Vendor should be installing later this month. Community baseball is working with the company to complete this project.  Discussion of Dugouts o There was a brief discussion on the dugout project, but no action was taken. It will be discussed in October.  Commemorative Coin o There was a brief discussion on the commemorative coin. PSA members will be given opportunity to comment and offers suggestions about the design of this coin.  Entryway o There was discussion about coming up with some designs. No action was taken.  Treasurer’s Report o There was discussion about investment opportunities and connecting with the City to determine if this was feasible. No action was taken.  Peninsula Pilots o Community Baseball indicated that the Savannah Bananas are leaving the league. Additionally, the league has been sold to the Capital Broadcast Group out of North Carolina. Community Baseball also mentioned that Major League Baseball approved some rules changes, but the league probably will not adopt these changes until the NCAA adopts them. The Chair adjourned the meeting at approximated 1:00. Next meeting on October 3, 2022, at 12:00 (noon) War Memorial Stadium.
