All voted and the motion passed unanimously. Melissa presented the Treasurer’s report based on the February Old Point Bank Statement (including a balance of $252,027 on Feb 28, 2023). A motion to accept the February report was made by Jim G. and seconded by Garth. All voted and the motion passed unanimously. Locker Room Renovation • Angela gave an update on the locker room renovation. No formal schedule has been provided. Parking Lot Gates • Jim W. has submitted a draft contract to the supplier. Commemorative Coin • The City of Hampton commemorative coin is a “Coin of Excellence” intended to recognize key influencers. The 2023 Coin recognizes War Memorial Stadium’s 75th Anniversary. • The city has provided the PSA with 150 coins (coins were distributed to PSA board members). • Please continue to email Garth, the names of those you feel have contributed to the history and success of the stadium. Garth will compile into one list for discussion at a future meeting. • 75th Anniversary Celebration event is being planned for June 6, 2023, at 6:00 at the Stadium. Jim W. and Garth are working details with Wayne. More to follow.  2 3/28/2023 Stadium Walkaround • PSA Board Members, Community Baseball (Pilot) Staff, and City of Hampton Representatives walked the grounds of the stadium. We witnessed the results of the drainage project, entrance area near the new building, dugouts and proposed expansion, infield turf, outfield grass (Henry informed us that grass maintenance was to be performed later that same afternoon, if anyone was interested in watching), and the locker room with proposed layout. o This activity completes one of the 2022 Lessons Learned recommendations. • History wall could be located at the entrance area on the side of the new building and could include hanging banners. • Dugout expansion is pending formal proposal / negotiation with ODU. • We walked the area for the proposed locker room and noted that the kids play area will be impacted. Community Baseball is contemplating options. New Business • Frank is coordinating an embroidered PSA polo shirt, for purchase, using NO PSA funds. A minimum of six shirts is required. • Community Baseball (Matt) is contemplating portable metal detectors and volunteer gameday staff for entrance areas. These activities are intended to improve safety, security, and fan experience. The Chair adjourned the meeting at 1:00 p.m. Next regular meeting on May 1, 2023, at 12:00 (noon) War Memorial Stadium.
