Explanation
Over the past several months, a number of safety-related concerns have been brought
to the attention of the committee. Several discussions have taken place regarding the
process for reviewing and approving traffic-related projects. This evening, the City’s
Traffic Engineer will provide a presentation on how the approval process works, the
rules and regulations that guide decision-making, and how future requests should be
reviewed moving forward.

The Traffic and Public Safety Committee (TPSC) manages the Pedestrian Safety Fund,
which provides dedicated funding for pedestrian safety improvements on public streets.
The City Engineer will give a presentation on current and upcoming projects supported
by this fund. Following the presentation, committee members will have the opportunity
to ask questions and share input on potential future projects they would like to see
considered for funding and implementation.
