HAYES TOWNSHIP 6“ ; \)&{ May 14, 2024 UNAPPROVED MINUTES CQ}-/ Supervisor Jones called the General Meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. at the Hayes Township Hall, 2055 E. Townline Lake Road. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present — Supervisor Jones, Trustee Buckley, Trustee Teall, Treasurer Rood, and Clerk Hoyt Members absent - None Motion Teall/Buckley to approve agenda. All Ayes, motion carried. Public Comment on agenda (The Hayes Township Board allows 3 minutes per person for public comment) Community Reports e Clare County Commissioner e Clare County Road Commission Clare County Road Commission presented information regarding CCRC funding and activities. Motion Teall/Rood to approve the following minutes: e April 18, 2024 General Meeting e May 1, 2024 Special Meeting All Ayes, motion carried. Motion Rood/Teall to approve Bills to be Paid. All Ayes, motion carried. Department Reports e Supervisor Treasurer Clerk Trustee Zoning New Business Motion Hoyt/Rood to adopt Resolution 23-11 Fire Millage renewal ballot wording, replacing Resolution 23-09. Roll call vote: Jones — aye, Teall — aye, Rood — aye, Hoyt — aye. Resolution 23- 11is adopted. Motion Rood/Teall to approve Clare County Equalization Department contract $500, July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025 (same as last year). All ayes, motion carried. SCA_NNED Cq Motion Rood/Teall to approve Zoning Administrator membership to Michigan Association of Planning $65 (same as last year). All ayes, motion carried. Motion Rood/Hoyt Approve following wage increases: e Deputy Treasurer $17.35 to $17.94 (TGA graduation and training) e Deputy Clerk $17.94 to $18.44 (assuming additional duties) e Election Coordinator $16.81 to $17.31(received accreditation with Bureau of Elections) Roll call vote: Jones — aye, Teall — aye, Rood — aye, Hoyt — aye, motion carried. Motion Rood/Teall to allow Pickleball group to use the enclosed cement slab to tape, not paint, and set up portable pickle ball nets for more people to play pickleball. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Hoyt/Rood to approve Audit Engagement Letter with Yeo & Yeo $12,575 ($12,050 last year). All ayes, motion carried. Motion Approve STG website hosting, backup, security, and support package renewal $750 (same as last year). All ayes, motion carried. The security upgrade proposal was discussed, and the building committee is waiting for more information. Discussion items ® Requests for support — resolution requests to the board by other groups to support their Cause. 1. Each request will be reviewed. 2.
