Transition and Orientation 2.a. Presentation from Eric Campbell, city manager and Chris Brown, city attorney Eric Campbell, city manager, thanked everyone for participating in the City Council transition and orientation meeting. He stated in the past years the new members of City Council would meet individually with the city manager and the city attorney, but he feels meting as a whole body allows a high level overview and the perspective of current and outgoing council members to the new members. · He reviewed the following: · Council-Manager Form of Government · Duties and Responsibilities of City Council · Laws Governing Council Conduct and Authority · City Council Meetings · Parliamentary Procedure · City Government Overview · Legacy Projects Mayor Reed stated the city manager did a very good job explaining Council ’s roles, his roles and all that is needed to be a successful Council. She stated it is appreciated the time that city staff put into this and thanked him. This Presentation was received and filed. 3.
