CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM IS PRESENT 2. CITIZENS PARTICIPATION AND COMMENTS An opportunity for citizens to address the HCEDC Board on matters which are on the agenda or are not scheduled for consideration (non-agenda items). The Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits deliberation by the Board of any subject which is not on the posted agenda, therefore the Board will not be able to discuss or take action on items not listed on this agenda, other than to make statements of specific factual information or to recite existing policy in response to the inquiry. Haslet Economic Development Update August 2024 EDC Coordinator I-35W Frontage 4/6/23 City Council has approved the re-establishment of the I-35W Overlay. 7/7/23 Commercial development inquiries along I-35W Corridor are active and increasing. 9/8/23 Development interest in corridor has increased since opening of Haslet Pkwy (the “L”). 11/8/23 Commercial development interest in corridor are turning into apparent real projects. 5/13/2024 - Property that is south of Alliance Airport owned by Fort Worth are currently for sale with high interest from many sources. 6/11/2024 – Civil Plans for QT are still proceeding. 7/10/2024 – Inquires for properties along I-35W Frontage are still occurring. 8/12/2024 – Inquires for properties along I-35W Frontage are still occurring. Miscellaneous 1/8/24 The HCEDC B Board has completed their interviews with prospective commercial brokers. 1/8/24 The HCEDC B Board has interest from potential buyers on properties on Main Street. 1/8/24 A zoning request and site plan for a Quick Trip Station at the Northwest corner of Harmon Road and Haslet Parkway will be considered at the January 30th Planning and Zoning meeting. 3/20/24 Site and Landscape Plan for a Quick Trip Station at the Northwest corner of Harmon Road and Haslet Parkway was approved at the City Council Meeting on February 20th. 3/20/24 A Preliminary plat for Caraway Commercial (north of Pasque and west of Harmon) was considered and approved at the City Council meeting on March 18th. It contained 24 acres with 12 proposed lots. 3/20/24 Civil Plans for a Mid Cities Women’s Clinic turned in for review in LeTara Commercial Development. 4/15/24 Child Day Care land use added to Caraway Planned Development 6/11/2024 Civil and Site Plans for Mid Cities Women’s Clinic have been approved. 7/10/2024 - Pre-Construction for Mid Cities Women’s Clinic has been held. 7/10/2024 – Inquires for Commercial and Industrial uses along parts of Westport Pkwy. are occurring. 8/12/2024 – Inquires for Office Employment and Industrial uses along parts of Harmon Road are occurring.
