President Sarah Nembu called the meeting to order and announced a quorum present at

3.A. Saturday, May 6, 2023 Elections, 7am - 7pm:
The City of Haslet will hold a General Election for the purpose of electing Mayor, Council
Member - Place 2, and Council Member - Place 4.
The May 6, 2023 ballot will also have a City of Haslet Special Election Proposition A
concerning authorizing the City to sell certain development dedicated parkland. If approved
by Haslet Voters, the City will be authorized to enter into negotiations with the Northwest
Independent School District (NISD) for NISD purchase of this property. The property is
needed by NISD for the construction of a public elementary school to serve the City of
Haslet’s children from subdivisions in this area, with portions of the property to be used for
nature teaching and remain accessible to the public for their enjoyment. This property is

located along the northside of Blue Mound Road East, near the intersection of Blue Mound
Road East and Harmon Road, and being 24.1 acres.
The Last Day to Register to Vote in the Saturday, May 6, 2023 Election is Thursday, April 6,
2023. Please visit www.votetexas.gov to check registration status and to register to vote.
Early Voting begins Monday, April 24, 2023 and goes through Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Please
visit www.haslet.org to view hours and locations.
