CITIZENS PARTICIPATION AND COMMENTS An opportunity for citizens to address the Planning and Zoning Commission (Commission) on matters which are on the agenda or are not scheduled for consideration (non-agenda items). The Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits deliberation by the Commission of any subject which is not on the posted agenda, therefore the Commission will not be able to discuss or take action on items not listed on this agenda, other than to make statements of specific factual information or to recite existing policy in response to the inquiry. ANALYSIS: Maintenance of property is required in Haslet, however it is not a zoning issue as to who is the maintainer. That function is between the homeowner and the Homeowners Association. This Ordinance change will allow the two entities to make that decision instead of involving the City. There are no legal ramifications by approving this amendment.
