RA, Town Attorney KEVIN CONROY, Town Comptroller Supervisor Gillen presented a Citation to two teams: The Freeport Red Devils Football Team who took home their second Long Island Championship in three years and to the Wantagh Girls Varsity Volleyball team for winning their first day title since 2001. Supervisor Gillen asked for those in attendance to remain standing for a moment of silence to remember the passing of former President George H.W. Bush. Councilman Blakeman also called for a moment of silence to recognize a former Nassau County Police Department school crossing guard Maryann Cahill, a very outstanding member of the Valley Stream Community who passed away last evening.
