STATED TOWN BOARD MEETING SEPTEMBER 8, 2020 The Town Board of the Town of Hempstead, New York, met at the Town Meeting Pavilion, Hempstead Town Hall, 1 Washington Street, Hempstead, New York, on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 10:30AM. Superviser Clavin asked everyone for a moment of silence for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice on September 11 'h_ Councihnan D'Esposito also asked for everyone to join in for a moment of silence in remembrance of William Herbert, a former dedicated member of our workforce who spent nearly three decades in the Sanitation Department and was also an Ex-Chief of the Island Park Fire Department. Councilman Blakeman made motion to suspend the rules for the meeting, seconded by Councihnan D'Esposito. Supervisor Clavin noted due to the COVID -19 Pandemic and consistent with the Governor's Executive Orders, this meeting will be live streamed so that all members of the public who wish to listen and observe the meeting will be able to do so. In addition, the meeting will be recorded and transcribed.
