197 CITY OF HENDERSON – RECORD BOOK Record of Minutes of A Special Called Meeting on October 7, 2024 A special called meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Henderson, Kentucky, was held on Tuesday, October 7, 2024, at 4:30 p.m., prevailing time, in the third floor Assembly Room of the Municipal Center, 222 First Street, Henderson, Kentucky, designated as the primary location for this video teleconference meeting allowed under KRS 61.826. The vote was called. On roll call, the vote stood. The vote was called. On roll call, the vote stood: Commissioner Whitt ------ Absent: Commissioner Thomas --- Aye: Commissioner Vowels --- Aye: Commissioner Pruitt ------ Absent: Mayor Staton ----- Aye: WITHOUT OBJECTION, Mayor Staton declared the Motion approved. ________________________ MEETING RECESS: MAYOR STATON called for a ten minute recess at approximately 5:10 p.m. due to the nature of the process that would extend over the following twenty minutes. MEETING RECONVENED FROM RECESS: MAYOR STATON called the meeting into session from recess at approximately 5:20 p.m., resuming discussion regarding the online auction. ________________________ DISCUSSION WAS HELD on how to proceed. MOTION by Commissioner Thomas, seconded by Commissioner Vowels, to authorize real estate agent to enter a bid of $125,000.00 in an online auction of the property located at 112 Letcher Street on behalf of the city. The vote was called. MOTION by Commissioner Thomas, seconded by Commissioner Vowels, to authorize real estate agent to enter a bid of $150,000.00 in an online auction of the property located at 112 Letcher Street on behalf of the city. The vote was called. On roll call, the vote stood: Commissioner Whitt ------ Absent: Commissioner Thomas --- Aye: Commissioner Vowels --- Aye: Commissioner Pruitt ------ Absent: Mayor Staton ----- Aye: WITHOUT OBJECTION, Mayor Staton declared the Motion approved.
