CA-5 FIRST AMENDMENT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT-NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION PROGRAM 3 (CDBG-NSP3) FUNDING HOUSING FOR NEVADA CMTS NO. 132-11-1,445,100-HFN-CDBG NSP3 NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES For Possible Action. RECOMMENDATION: Approve First Amendment to the January 17, 2012, Agreement between the City of Henderson (City) and Housing for Nevada (HFN) to increase Community Development Block Grant-Neighborhood Stabilization Program 3 (CDBG-NSP3) funding by $900,000.00, which will increase the agreement balance from $1,445,100.00 to $2,345,100.00, and will allow HFN to purchase twelve homes and re-sell these homes to program qualified individuals or families. RECOMMENDATION: Approve First Amendment to the June 27, 2011, Agreement between the City of Henderson (City) and Living Grace Home, to decrease Community Development Block Grant-Neighborhood Stabilization Program 3 (CDBG-NSP3) funding by $40,000.00, which will decrease the agreement balance from $300,000.00 to $260,000.00; and reduce the number of foreclosed homes purchased with these funds from two homes to one home. CA-7 SECOND AMENDMENT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT- NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION PROGRAM 3 (CDBG-NSP3) FUNDING HENDERSON ALLIED COMMUNITY ADVOCATES (HACA) CMTS NO. 132-11-250,000-HACA NSP3 NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES For Possible Action. RECOMMENDATION: Approve Second Amendment to the June 14, 2011, Agreement between the City of Henderson (City) and Henderson Allied Community Advocates (HACA), to decrease Community Development Block Grant - Neighborhood Stabilization Program 3 (CDBG-NSP3) funding by $105,000.00, which will decrease the agreement balance from $250,000.00 to $145,000.00; and reduce the number of foreclosed homes purchased with these funds from two homes to one home. RECOMMENDATION: Approve Renew $15,000,000.00 of excess liability insurance for the City of Henderson and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Henderson from Star Indemnity & Liability Company for the policy period of November 22, 2012, through November 22, 2013, for a premium of $271,000.00. CA-9 INSURANCE RENEWAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE EQUIPMENT INSURANCE CMTS NO. 137-111612 DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES For Possible Action. RECOMMENDATION: Approve Renew $12,126,280.00 of emergency response equipment insurance for the City of Henderson from AGCS Marine Insurance Company for the policy period of November 22, 2012, through November 22, 2013, for a premium of $54,568.00. CA-10 INSURANCE RENEWAL PROPERTY AND BOILER & MACHINERY INSURANCE CMTS NO. 137-111712 DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES For Possible Action. RECOMMENDATION: Approve Renew $942,222,296.00 of property insurance for the City of Henderson and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Henderson from Travelers Insurance for the policy period of November 22, 2012, through November 22, 2013, for a premium of $557,083.00. CA-13 GRANT AWARD STATE OF NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY 2013 GRANT CMTS NO. 211-13-2125-G0434 POLICE DEPARTMENT For Possible Action. RECOMMENDATION: Accept Office of Traffic Safety 2013 Grant Award from the State of Nevada, Department of Public Safety, for the City of Henderson Police Department to pay for equipment directly related to conducting the "Every 15 Minutes" Program at high schools in Henderson, Nevada, in the amount of $8,000.00 to help increase the awareness of new/younger drivers to the danger of impaired driving. RECOMMENDATION: Approve Purchase of fifty-seven (57) P-25 compliant radios and accessories for the Police Department, in the amount of $164,573.03 from Motorola Solutions. RECOMMENDATION: Accept Submission of the Annual Audit by Piercy, Bowler, Taylor & Kern and the Required Communications Letter for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2012.
