IV. ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA (For Possible Action) V. NEW BUSINESS NB-1 MINUTES HENDERSON COMMUNITY EDUCATION ADVISORY BOARD MARCH 11, 2020 For Possible Action. RECOMMENDATION: Adopt. Henderson Community Education Advisory Board meeting minutes of March 11, 2020 Henderson Community Education Advisory Board Page 3 of 4 Wednesday, August 26, 2020 - Agenda NB-2 ELECTION OF OFFICERS CHAIR AND VICE-CHAIR For Possible Action. RECOMMENDATION: Elect Per CEAB bylaws, an election for the Chair and Vice-Chair must be held in August of each year. Members will put forth nominations and vote to elect/re-elect the Chair and Vice-Chair by a simple majority vote. NB-3 PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO CEAB BYLAWS For Possible Action. RECOMMENDATION: Adopt. Staff will provide an overview of proposed changes to the CEAB bylaws to better align with the template recommended for all City Boards and Commissions and address the timeline for future officer elections. Board members will discuss and possibly vote on the proposed amendments. NB-4 DISCUSSION OF CEAB PRIORITIES RECOMMENDATION: For information and discussion only. Chair and staff will review and discuss the overall priorities of the Community Education Advisory Board to realign with the current environment for education in Henderson. NB-5 CEAB WORKPLAN REVIEW AND REVISION For Possible Action. RECOMMENDATION: Discuss and provide input to staff. Joan Chaplick, CEAB meeting facilitator from MIG, Inc., will facilitate a discussion with members about the CEAB Workplan to ensure that current goals and activities align with the changing needs of students, teachers and families for high quality education in Henderson. NB-6 STAFF UPDATES RECOMMENDATION: For information only. CHAIRMAN\MEMBER COMMENTS The Chairman and Members may speak on any subject under this section of the agenda.
