RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Senior Citizens Advisory Commission Meeting minutes of March 11, 2020. Senior Citizens Advisory Commission Page 3 of 4 Wednesday, October 28, 2020 - Agenda NB-2 INTRODUCE NEW ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF PARKS AND RECREATION PARKS AND RECREATION RECOMMENDATION: For Information Only Angela Summers, Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation, will introduce herself to the Senior Citizens Advisory Commission board. NB-3 ELECTION CHAIRPERSON PARKS AND RECREATION For Possible Action. RECOMMENDATION: Elect Commission members will elect a Chairperson. NB-4 ELECTION VICE-CHAIRPERSON PARKS AND RECREATION For Possible Action. RECOMMENDATION: Elect Commission members will elect a Vice-Chairperson. NB-5 ARTIST PROPOSAL REVIEW AND FEEDBACK PARKS AND RECREATION RECOMMENDATION: For Discussion Only The City of Henderson, NV, has received an AARP Community Challenge Grant to support artistic murals on twelve concrete benches on Army Street in downtown Henderson. Jonathan Rodriguez, Planner II, in the Community Development Department, will facilitate a group review of artist proposals for the benches. Commission members will each provide Mr. Rodriguez feedback on their favorite proposals. Senior Citizens Advisory Commission Page 4 of 4 Wednesday, October 28, 2020 - Agenda NB-6 STAFF REPORT PARKS AND RECREATION RECOMMENDATION: For Information Only Corey Clark, Recreation Manager, will give an update on the city's response to dealing with the COVID-19 Pandemic and the effects it has had on various activities throughout the city. Chairman and Members may comment on matters including, without limitation, future agenda items, upcoming meeting dates, and meeting procedures.
