City Council Meeting

OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS CITY OF HERREID, SOUTH DAKOTA Special Meeting November 1, 2021 The Herreid City Council was called to order by Mayor Gary Weismantel on the above date at 7:30pm at City Hall. The following members were present: A. Dupper, P. Weisbeck, and Lacy Fuehrer, R. Rossow, and Mayor Weismantel, absent were K. Rossow and K. Harr. Also, present were: M. Neeley, Finance Officer (via Zoom); R. Goehring, Maintenance Supervisor; and Orland Geigle; Prairie Pioneer. Moved by Fuehrer, seconded by R. Rossow to approve the agenda. All members present voted aye, motion carried. Weisbeck moved, Dupper seconded, all members present voted aye, motion carried to approve the following claims: B&B payment #7 $ 635,869.23 Sewer Project Helms & Associates $ 10,660.00 Sewer Project Old Business Sewer Project-Change Order-moved by Dupper, seconded by Fuehrer to approve Change Order #3 for the sewer improvement project. Paving project-10th Ave and N Elm-following discussion tabled the issue, noting questions regarding the invoice/bid/work completed. A representative from Jensen and City Attorney will be asked to attend the November 8th meeting to discuss. Railway Ave-Rock has been delivered for work on Railway Ave-Mayor Weismantel will contact K. Rossow to discuss availability of help for Maintenance Goehring and project status. Problem Resolution Forms Executive Session At 7:51PM Dupper moved, R. Rossow seconded to go into Executive Session pursuant to SDCL 1-25-2 (1) personnel. All members present voted aye; motion carried. At 8:34PM Mayor Weismantel declared the council out of Executive Session. Moved by Weisbeck, seconded by B. Rossow, all members present voted aye to approve the following: FO Neeley will advertise the FO vacancy with a deadline of November 30, 2021 and the ad will be changed to allow residents of Campbell County to apply. The next regularly scheduled Council meeting will be Monday, November 8th at 7:30pm. With no further business, moved by Fuehrer, seconded by R.
