Minutes of the public meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Hewlett
Bay Park held on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Village Hall, 30 Piermont Avenue,
Hewlett New York 11557. Members of the public also were permitted to observe and
participate.
The public had a right to speak at this meeting.
1. Calling the Meeting to Order:
Deputy Mayor Oliviero called the meeting to order at 1:15 PM
A. Board Appointment of Mayor-
On motion by Trustee Zylberberg, seconded by Trustee Joseph and unanimously
carried, the Board appointed Dr. Antonio Oliviero as Mayor for the remainder of the
official year
B. Mayors Appointment of Deputy Mayor
Mayor Oliviero appointed Renee Zylberberg as Deputy Mayor for the remainder of
the official year.

3. Notice of Meeting – Nassau Herald:
The Clerk reported that notice of the public meeting was emailed to the Nassau
Herald, posted on the bulletin board outside of Village Hall and in the lobby of Village
Hall and posted on the Village website.
4. Minutes- Minutes of the Meeting on January 11, 2024
On motion by Mayor Oliviero, seconded by Deputy Mayor Zylberberg and
unanimously carried the Board dispensed with the reading of the January 11, 2024
minutes as the Clerk had previously mailed such minutes and they are hereby
approved.
5. Mayors Appointment of Trustee
Mayor Oliviero appointed Stella Gershfeld as Trustee for the remainder of the official
year.
6. Appointment of Prosecuting Attorney
Mayor Oliviero appointed Michael Beer as Prosecuting Attorney for the remainder fo
the official year at a fee of $300 per appearance.

A. Landscapers
On motion by Mayor Olivero, seconded by Deputy Mayor Zylberberg, and
unanimously approved the Board voted to raise the Landscaper permit fees to $75 for
a Landscape permit.
The Board directed the Village Attorney to draft a new Landscaper law for
hours and days of work as discussed.
9. Reports
1. Audit of Claims
The Board discussed the claims. Upon confirmation from the Board that the items
in such abstract represented the purchase of goods and services actually received
and/or performed and that each item contained in the abstract was for a proper
Village purpose, on motion duly made by Mayor Oliviero, seconded by Trustee Joseph,
and adopted unanimously, the Board authorized and directed the Village Treasurer
pay the general fund claims in the total sum of $27,168.77 set forth in abstract #734
(copy of the abstract is on file in the Village office).
10. New Business:
Ring Central Phone System
On motion by Deputy Mayor Zylberberg, seconded by Trustee Joseph and
unanimously approved, the Board authorized the purchase of Ring Central Phones, of
a one time fee of $849 and a monthly fee of $140.07 to be shared by to be 1/3 shared
by Hewlett Neck, Hewlett Bay Park and Woodsburgh

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 2:15 PM
