Minutes of Meeting of August 3, 2020 Ms. Beecher motioned to approve the minutes and Mr. Fernandez seconded the motion. Motion was passed unanimously to approve the minutes. 3. Quarterly Report on Plans/Presentation by Burgess Chambers & Associates Mr. Wan presented the quarterly report to the committee. Mr. Johnson arrived at 10:35 AM. No motion was needed for this item. 4. Report by Nationwide Ms. Avello-Rodriguez presented the report to the committee. No motion was needed for this item. 5. Unfinished Business • Discussion on possible approval of amending the City of Hialeah Defined Contribution Plan Committee Continuing Education and Travel Policy – Tabled 2/3/2020 Mr. Fernandez motioned to remove table and Ms. Camino-Hernandez seconded that motion. The motion was passed unanimously. Mr. Fernandez called Mr. Jove to speak on the status of the Travel Policy. Mr. Jove explained that the Travel Policy has to be followed by the Florida Statutes. Ms. Beecher motioned to continue having this item tabled and Ms. Camino-Hernandez seconded that motion. The motion was passed unanimously.  • Report to Council on the Deferred Compensation and Define Contribution Plan Oversight Committee – 2019 Accomplishments –Tabled 2/3/2020 Mr. Fernandez motioned to remove this item from table and Ms. Beecher seconded the motion. Motion was passed unanimously. Ms. Beecher presented the accomplishments and commented that moving forward, the accomplishments should be presented with the reports by Nationwide and Burgess Chambers & Associates. Mr. Johnson motioned to approve the accomplishments and Ms. Camino-Hernandez seconded that motion. Motion was passed unanimously. 6. New Business • Request to approve Burgess Chambers & Associates invoice Mr. Johnson motioned to approve payment for invoice and Ms. Beecher seconded that motion. Motion was passed unanimously. • Discussion on CARES Act Loan Provisions Mr. Johnson commented about raising the cap from $50,000 to an extra $35,000 for the Covid-19 Related Distributions. Mr. Johnson motioned his suggestion for approval and Ms. Beecher seconded that motion. Mr. Fernandez voted no, but motion still passed. • Discussion and possible approval of budget for fiscal year 2021 No motion was made for this item, but it will be shown in every August agenda. • NAGDCA Membership Renewal Ms. Beecher motioned to approve payment on membership renewal invoice and Mr. Fernandez seconded that motion. Motion was passed unanimously. • Discussion of Meeting Dates for 2021 No motion was made for this item. The Committee members and advisors have agreed to continue having quarterly meetings every 1st Monday of the month. The new meeting dates for 2021 are the following: February 1st, 2021 May 3rd, 2021 August 2nd, 2021 November 1st, 2021 Meeting ended at 12:08PM with the next meeting set for February 1st, 2021, 10:00AM, in City Council Chambers.
