Open Meeting and Establish Quorum/Roll Call– Mayor Kelley called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Sherry Hume announced she has Ladies Club phone books for sale for $5.00. ACTION ITEMS 6. Consider Consent items: The items listed are considered to be routine and non-controversial by the Board of Aldermen and will be approved by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Board member so requests, in which case the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda prior to a motion and vote. The item will be considered in its normal sequence on the regular agenda. a. Meeting Minutes for Variance Public Hearing – July 3, 2025 b. Meeting Minutes for Regular BOA – July 15, 2025 Motion to approve Consent Items made by Terry Smith, seconded by Terry Nuss. Vote 3-0; Lynn Smith abstained due to absence. 7. Discussion and/or Possible Action - Discuss and possibly approve a community sign to replace the damaged sign located at Hwy. 1431 and Highland Drive. Motion to approve a community sign to replace the damaged sign located at Hwy. 1431 and Highland Drive made by Terry Smith, seconded by Don Hagans. Vote: 4-0 Page 1 of 3 8. Discussion and/or Possible Action – Discuss and possibly approve waiving Highland Haven building permit fees for the Highland Haven Ladies Club to replace the community sign located at Hwy. 1431 and Highland Drive. Motion to waive Highland Haven building permit fees for the Highland Haven Ladies Club to replace the community sign located at Hwy. 1431 and Highland Drive made by Terry Nuss, seconded by Lynn Smith. Vote: 4-0 9. Discussion and/or Possible Action – Resolution of Nomination to the Directors for the Burnet Central Appraisal District for the Year 2026-2027 Motion to nominate Terry Nuss for the Burnet Central Appraisal District for the Year 2026-2027 made by Lynn Smith, seconded by Don Hagans.
