City Council Meeting

__________________________________________________________________________________ COMMON COUNCIL MINUTES Monday, September 20, 2021 The Common Council Meeting was called to order by Mayor Greg Kubarski on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 7:06 PM. All present rose and recited the Pledge of Alliance. Mayor Kubarski asked for affirmation of proper public notice to which City Clerk Sheila Schraufnagel replied, “Yes”. Roll call was taken with Alderpersons Garth Hitselberger, Thomas Hotek, Darrow Novy, Elizabeth Parish, Randy Seeley, and Rick Hanke via phone present. Mark Lankey and Pat Moen were absent. Others in attendance were: City Administrator Joshua Finch, City Clerk Sheila Schraufnagel, Chief Patrick Clark, and Hillsboro Sentry Editor, Nicolette Nauman. Motion by Hotek, second by Parish to approve the August 16, 2021 Common Council minutes and August 24, 2021 Special Common Council minutes. Motion carried. Motion by Parish, seconded by Hitselberger to approve the monthly bills for payment. Motion carried. Motion by Parish, seconded by Hitselberger to approve Change Order No. 5 to August Winters & Sons, Inc. for 2020 Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvements in the amount of -$9,000 (reduction due to unused utility allowances). Motion carried. Motion by Seeley, seconded by Hitselberger to approve Professional Services Agreement between City of Hillsboro and MSA Professional Services, Inc. for Baraboo River Launch Site Development with an estimated amount of $39,000. Motion carried. Motion by Hotek seconded with Hitselberger to approve the termination contract with JI Construction, LLC and approve Meeco Sullivan Co. proposal in regards to the Kayak Dock/Launch with an estimated amount of $42,418.24. Motion carried. Motion by Hotek, seconded by Hitselberger to adjourn at 7:12 P.M. Motion carried.
