City Council Meeting

__________________________________________________________________________________ COMMON COUNCIL MINUTES Monday, October 18, 2021 The Common Council Meeting was called to order by Mayor Greg Kubarski on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 7:00 PM. All present rose and recited the Pledge of Alliance. Mayor Kubarski asked for affirmation of proper public notice to which City Clerk Sheila Schraufnagel replied, “Yes”. Roll call was taken with Alderpersons Garth Hitselberger, Thomas Hotek, Pat Moen, Darrow Novy, Elizabeth Parish, Randy Seeley, and Rick Hanke present. Mark Lankey was absent. Others in attendance were: City Administrator Joshua Finch, City Clerk Sheila Schraufnagel, Officer Rachel Winch, Librarian Jacqueline Pysarenko, and Hillsboro Sentry Editor, Nicolette Nauman. Motion by Hanke, seconded by Parish to approve the September 20, 2021 Common Council minutes. Motion carried. Motion by Hotek, seconded by Hanke to approve the monthly bills for payment. Motion carried. Motion by Parish, seconded by Moen to approve Resolution #4-2021 Summary Budget Publication. Motion carried. Motion by Hotek , seconded by Parish to approve Resolution #5-2021 Establishing 2022 Health Reimbursement Arrangement Account Amounts. Motion carried. Motion by Hanke, seconded by Moen to approve Resolution #6-2021 Resolution to Establish Municipal Wards and to Combine Wards for Voting Purposes. Motion carried. Motion by Hitselberger, seconded by Parish to approve the Animal Care Provider Agreement between the City of Hillsboro and Driftless Humane Society. Motion carried. Motion by Hotek , seconded by Hanke to adjourn at 7:16 P.M. Motion carried.
