City Council Meeting

______________________________________________________________________________ COMMON COUNCIL MINUTES Monday, July 17th, 2023 The Common Council Meeting was called to order by Mayor Greg Kubarski on Monday, July 17, 2023, at 7:15 PM. All who were present stood and recited the Pledge of Alliance. Mayor Kubarski asked for affirmation of proper public notice to which City Treasurer, Lisa Johnson confirmed that the meeting did receive proper public notice. Roll call was taken with Alderpersons Leanne Beyer, Rick Hanke, Mark Lankey, Pat Moen, Darrow Novy, and Elizabeth Parish present. Pat Moen and Randy Seeley were absent. Others in attendance were Police Chief Patrick Clark, City Administrator Joshua Finch, City Treasurer Lisa Johnson, and Sentry-Enterprise Editor Nicolette Nauman. Motion by Hotek, second by Hanke to approve the June 19, 2023, Council Minutes. Motion carried. There was no registered public comment. Motion by Lankey, second by Beyer to approve the monthly bills. Motion carried. Motion by Hotek, second by Hanke to approve MSA Professional Service Agreement-TID #5 Creation and TID #4 Amendment. Motion carried. Finch informed the council on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, there will be a Joint Board of Review Meeting at 6:30 PM and a Plan Commission Meeting at 7:00 PM. Motion by Hotek, second by Novy to approve the State/Municipal Financial Agreement for a State- LET Hwy Project Road Name: STH 80. Motion carried. Motion by Beyer, second by Hanke to approve the State/Municipal Financial Agreement for a State- LET Hwy Project Road Name: STH 33. Motion carried. Motion by Hanke, second by Beyer to approve the Renewal Application for Short Term Rental of Property-Hynek at 803 Hillsborough Ave. Motion carried. Motion by Hotek, second by Hanke to approve the Development Agreement-Kaliber Properties, LLC. Motion carried. Motion by Hanke, second by Beyer to approve the City of Hillsboro Park Permit/Albert Field Memorial Park and Disc Golf Course for Amos Vande Hei on August 5, 2023. Motion carried. Motion by Hotek, second by Hanke to approve the Mount Vernon Cemetery Association Funding Allocation from the Vernon County Clerk in the amount of $3654.00. Motion carried. Motion by Lankey, second by Beyer to adjourn at 7:28 PM. Motion carried.
